In London, swans are disrupting train traffic for the second day in a row. A swan wandered onto the track on Wednesday and Thursday, train operator South Western Railway announced. Several trains have been canceled or delayed.
According to the British news agency PA, among the affected passengers was a judge who was late for a court hearing because of the incident. The disruption on Thursday morning affected the route between Clapham Junction and Wimbledon stations. A photo on the X platform (formerly Twitter) shows how the swan is taken off the track.

A similar incident between Kingston and Hampton-Wick already caused disruption for the same rail carrier on Wednesday. An employee suspects it was not the same swan.
As recently as July, the Elizabeth Line subway line, which opened last year, was partially paralyzed by a swan. There will also likely be disruptions for London passengers on September 30 and October 4. The union has announced strikes on these days.
