A love triangle in the Tyrolean lowlands now had repercussions on the regional court of Innsbruck. It involved alleged blackmail, a man with two playmates and a sex video that could not be found.
A trial surrounding an accused blackmail by a 38-year-old of Turkish descent and her boyfriend resulted in more unanswered questions than answers. She was with the 40 year old in Underland, but someone else was there. “We were both his wives,” the defendant explained to the somewhat surprised judge Helga Moser.
30,000 euros extorted
The ‘second wife’ was blackmailed and several money transfers took place. For example, by threatening to send nude photos and a delicate video to her brother and ex-husband. Ultimately, more than 30,000 euros came in.
The 38-year-old emphasized several times during the trial that she had been forced into blackmail by her partner. The accused stayed away from the hearing.
Only after a procedure of approximately two hours did it become clear to the judge that “nothing is clear”. It couldn’t even be clearly verified whether there were actually nude photos or even a sex video.
Neither provable nor refutable
Moser added that she could not prove or disprove whether the undisputed flow of money stemmed from blackmail or misunderstood love. Under these strange circumstances, the only verdict left was an acquittal, which is already legally binding.
