A spectacular police operation, less spectacular loot: four boys attacked a teenager in Linz and stole no less than ten euros. Apparently they thought the boys were armed, hence the heavy artillery. It also became clear that a school is a poor shelter and that the tram is not suitable as an escape vehicle.
“We felt like we were in the wrong movie” – what happened on Tuesday afternoon at a school in Linz-Urfahr still worries staff. Four young people had broken into the school building, probably to hide, but were escorted out by the school director. Shortly afterwards, a major police action took place in the immediate area. A total of 18 officers removed two suspects, armed with soft weapons, from the police station. It is still unclear whether the perpetrators were the young robbers who robbed a 14-year-old boy at Linz’s main station at 1 p.m.
