An unknown perpetrator robbed a tobacconist in Vienna-Liesing on Thursday afternoon. He threatened the employee with a gun and demanded money. He fled after the attack. An immediate search turned up nothing.
The man robbed the tobacconist on Erlaaer Strasse around 12 noon. The woman was alone in the store at the time. Because the employee initially refused to give the man the daily password, he threatened the woman and shot into the air with a gas pistol.
Escape with loot
After helping himself to the checkout, he fled on a black and orange scooter. When he committed the crime, he was wearing a black hoodie, blue shorts and white sneakers.
Investigations are underway
The employee was unharmed. Because a direct search did not yield the desired results, the police are still looking for the robber.
