On Friday there was an escalation in the area of the metro passage at Wien-Mitte station. A passenger hit the inspector in the face with his fist. The police had to move away.
The incident took place at 7:35 p.m. The control body of the Wiener Linien complained about the passenger. The situation then quickly escalated and the 21-year-old promptly punched the inspector in the face.
Colleagues came to the aid of the victims
Several of the victim’s colleagues held the suspect down until police arrived. However, the 21-year-old didn’t like that at all, so he even threatened to kill the inspector.

The victim was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. The suspect was temporarily arrested at the scene.
Medicines found
Small amounts of drugs were found in his clothing and seized. The man is suspected of bodily harm, dangerous threats and possession of addictive substances.
