A drug driver was arrested by the Villach highway police on Tuesday morning. Particularly strange: the Viennese does not have a driver’s license and also had his three small children on board.
During a routine check, highway police officers noticed a vehicle with a Lower Austrian test drive license plate on the southern highway. The police then removed the car from traffic. And a short time later it turned out that the officers had scored a direct hit.
Without appearance and on drugs
During the check it turned out that the 32-year-old driver was clearly on drugs. “In addition, he could not produce a valid driver’s license because it was revoked from him years ago,” the Carinthian State Police Directorate said.
The Viennese’s three children (aged between eight and ten years old) were also in the back of the vehicle. They were lying on the folded back seat and were not wearing seat belts.
Officials immediately banned the 32-year-old from continuing his journey. He must also expect reports to the Klagenfurt Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Villach district administration.
