The flight of a paraglider pilot came to an unusual end in Thüringerberg (Vorarlberg) on Sunday. The man lost control of his parachute and fell into a forest. Eleven men from the mountain rescue eventually rescue the pilot, who became trapped in a tree.
Things didn’t go as planned at all: a 54-year-old man from Nüziders went out on Sunday to take a spin with his paraglider. At 11.50 am he left from the “Drachenlaunchplatz Thüringerberg”. When he’s about one high forest between Gavaschina and Kapiescha, he was surprised by a gust of wind. The 54-year-old lost control of his parachute and crashed into the forest below.

There he got stuck in a pine tree about 25 meters high. Eleven men from the Nüziders mountain rescue team set out to rescue the pilot, which they did. The man survived the adventure unharmed.
