A small plane crashed near Traboch in the Styrian district of Leoben on Monday evening. Two passengers had to be taken to hospital.
Around 5:40 p.m., the 66-year-old pilot of the small plane wanted to land at Timmersdorf airport in Traboch. According to police, the plane already hit the ground, but then the nose gear suddenly buckled. The plane tilted and landed on the roof.
Two passengers injured
The two occupants, aged 66 and 41, were able to free themselves from the aircraft. The rescue took them to UKH Kalwang; they were slightly injured.
Dedication
The Civil Aviation Accident Commission was notified of the incident. The Leoben Public Prosecution Service has released the aircraft for salvage. The C17 rescue helicopter, two rescue vehicles and six fire engines were in action.
