After the brutal murder of his wife, a 65-year-old is on trial in Wiener Neustadt: he allegedly murdered the 57-year-old with a chisel in their marital bed in Oberwaltersdorf (Lower Austria). The man pleaded guilty – the trial was postponed again!
Everything was gone in one fell swoop: to be more precise, it was fifteen powerful blows with which a 65-year-old murdered his wife in cold blood in the house they shared in Oberwaltersdorf. Previously it was a model wedding – until the bitter end on August 24 last year. Only in the weeks before the brutal crime were there clear tensions between the lovers – rather an unrelenting coldness. In addition to humiliation, the 57-year-old is said to have recently tried to take everything from her lover. Too much for the businessman with a penchant for narcissism, who the expert testifies is perfectly sane.
Since the end of June, the famous husband has had to answer for murder at the Wiener Neustadt Regional Court. The defense argues for manslaughter. But the forensic doctor’s descriptions make the jury’s blood run cold: the suspect probably beat his sleeping wife in a blind rage.
The perpetrator simulated a burglary
“The perpetrator acted with enormous brutality and decisiveness,” the doctor explains in the lawsuit. Numerous cuts and crushing wounds to the head and arms, including strangulation marks in the neck and a stab wound would testify to this. During the dramatic pain in their marital bed, the woman tried to ward off the blows and escape from her tormentor – in vain. The 65-year-old then tried to cover up the violent act.
“It was a very unhealthy relationship,” a friend of the suspect painted a picture of submission and submission on the third day of the trial. The 57-year-old completely isolated him and banned him from contact with family and friends. A ruling is not expected until early December at the earliest.
