Eight months unnoticed – huge disruption with prescription fee waiver

Date:

In recent weeks, many pensioners have complained to the ombudsman that they are suddenly no longer exempt from prescription costs. Many suspected a connection with the payment of the climate bonus. But that’s not the reason. As the ombudsman and Krone+ have now investigated, the fault lies elsewhere entirely.

“When I picked up medicine for my dependent parents from the pharmacy, I was suddenly told that they were no longer exempt from prescription costs,” Franz M. (name changed) recently complained to the ombudsman by telephone. At the pharmacy he was told that there may be a connection with the payment of the climate bonus to his parents, both retirees.
