After three independent reports were received in East Tyrol in the past week and a half about men who allegedly offered sweets to students, another incident is now said to have occurred in Lienz.
On Wednesday morning, three students from a school in Lienz reported that they had been approached by an unknown man in a white car on their way there. The school has reported the matter to the police.
The police started a search
The man spoke to the three children near the Amlacherstrasse underpass. He is said to have gray hair and was wearing a blue and white shirt. According to the police, the children’s statements do not match 100 percent. Only one boy said the man offered him candy, which he refused.
After the school reported the incident, police immediately launched a manhunt. However, this was without results. Lienz Police Station is asking any possible witnesses to the incident to call now (059133 7230). The incidents are taken very seriously, according to the driver, who warns against the spread of rumors on social media.
