Megafire Wednesday morning on the site of a waste processing company in Krems in the municipality of Voitsberg in Styria: For unknown reasons, a fire broke out on the loading floor of a truck trailer that had loaded scrap cars. The Krems and Voitsberg fire brigades were in action to extinguish the fire. The smoke was huge.
At around 8.30 am, scrap cars were loaded onto a truck trailer on a company site. For unknown reasons, a fire suddenly broke out in the loading area of the trailer.
The towing vehicle was uncoupled in time and removed from the truck driver. Firefighters from the Voitsberg and Krems fire departments deployed four vehicles and extinguished the fire.
No one was injured. The extent of the damage is still unclear.
