A student shot at people in an apartment and a hospital in Rotterdam shortly before 2:25 PM on Thursday afternoon. There are three fatalities (46, 39 and 14 years old) and the motive of the perpetrator is completely unclear. Now it became known: the Public Prosecution Service had warned the university clinic some time ago about the student’s psychologically suspicious behavior.
The suspected perpetrator of the deadly attacks in Rotterdam apparently has psychological problems. According to the letter, the judiciary had informed the Erasmus University Hospital that the man was known to the police. He had previously been convicted of animal cruelty.
In the letter, the judiciary warned against awarding a medical diploma to the student. The university has not yet responded to the messages.
The man will be brought before the judge on Friday. Police say he initially shot a 39-year-old woman in an apartment. Their 14-year-old daughter was seriously injured and later died in hospital. He then tried to set the house on fire.

The 32-year-old then shot a teacher at the university clinic and also set fire there. According to media reports, the woman was a neighbor of the man and reported him for animal cruelty.
Politicians and the royal family were shocked. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb of Rotterdam, like the royal couple, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. Prime Minister Mark Rutte was also shocked.
