A 48-year-old man who was caught stealing from a shop at Vienna’s main station in Favoriten on Friday afternoon bit a shop detective on the forearm. He had to receive emergency medical treatment and be taken to a hospital. The suspected thief has been arrested, the police reported on Saturday.
The detective had previously seen how the Pole took a cheap T-shirt and then left the store without paying.
Suddenly bitten
When he approached the 48-year-old and tried to stop, the man snapped. The suspect did not make any confession during interrogation and was reported in general on the orders of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
