What opportunities does the solar energy market offer and what are the challenges? These hot topics were discussed during our first “Sun Summit”!
“Solar energy from our roofs protects the climate, makes our country independent and ensures lower bills. That is precisely why it is so great that so many people participate and support the energy transition. By 2030, we want to install a solar power plant on one million roofs in our country. We will also succeed in this thanks to initiatives such as Krone Sonne aktuell,” assured Leonore Gewessler on the occasion of our eco-summit.
Solar energy is becoming increasingly important
Decision makers from politics and business met to specifically discuss the development of photovoltaic solar energy in Austria. Basic idea: Especially valuable solar energy will become increasingly important in the future. The Renewable Expansion Act provides the framework. The goal: 100 percent green energy from renewable sources in Austria by 2030.
The unanimous opinion is that photovoltaic solar energy plays a key role in this! She sets one record after another. In recent years, installed PV capacity in Austria has doubled – partly thanks to initiatives such as Krone Sonne. With more than 2,000 systems installed, we are the leading provider in Austria.
The fact is: photovoltaic solar energy is the cheapest and simplest form when it comes to sustainable energy solutions, because the sun does not charge bills and air energy is available indefinitely. From Lake Constance to Lake Neusiedl, more than 2,000 KroneSonne PV systems have already been installed on roofs – providing owners with comprehensive energy solutions. At the same time, there is incredible potential that can still be tapped. In any case, the interest in clean solar energy remains as great as ever.

Reduce existing bureaucracy
Krone Sonne guides customers along the way and also proposes to optimize the system and processes – for example by solving the existing “fragmentation” and shifting legal regulations from individual countries to the government. Another approach is aimed at reducing the existing bureaucracy (approval and financing system). Network expansion is also an important aspect that has a positive impact on achieving the objective.
In any case, Krone Sonne is committed to rapidly advancing the energy transition.
