A 55-year-old Croat is suspected of threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend in Kalwang. He allegedly first tried to hit the two with the car and then chased them with an axe.
According to police, the suspect followed his 42-year-old ex-wife in the car on Saturday morning. She walked with her 27-year-old boyfriend to Kalwang train station in the Leoben district. The 55-year-old allegedly tried to hit the two twice.
Man arrested immediately
The man then allegedly threatened the two with an ax that he had carried in the car. According to police, he made slashing movements in the air while standing in front of the 27-year-old. The man was arrested by the alerted officers and taken to Leoben prison on the orders of the public prosecutor. The 55-year-old was also banned from entering and approaching the building, as well as a temporary weapons ban. The ax was confiscated.
