The car, which was completely engulfed in flames, kept the Mürzzuschlag emergency services on their toes late on Saturday afternoon. The driver of the car combination noticed the fire in his vehicle in the Ganzstein tunnel, had the presence of mind to drive out of the tunnel and then steered his vehicle onto the Mürzzuschlag-West motorway exit.
The responsible Mürzzuschlag fire brigade was alerted with a siren alarm, which extinguished the fire and removed the burnt-out vehicle from the road. According to emergency services, the driver was also able to remove two fuel tanks from the vehicle before they caught fire…
