Two weeks before the parliamentary elections in Poland, about a million people demonstrated in Warsaw on Sunday against the policies of the right-wing nationalist ruling party PiS. This is the largest demonstration in the capital’s history, according to a spokeswoman for the city government.

“Nothing can stop this power,” Tusk said. “No one in positions of power above should harbor any illusions. This change is inevitable.” He spoke to almost a million participants at the start of the event, news agency PAP reported, citing unofficial information from police that there were almost 100,000 demonstrators.
National conservative PiS leads in polls
