Major operation in Uttendorf in the Braunau district! A North Macedonian (44) is said to have seriously injured his brother-in-law with a knife on Sunday afternoon. The injured 43-year-old was taken away by rescue helicopter and the suspected perpetrator was arrested. The National Criminal Investigation Department has started an investigation into attempted murder.
The background to the bloody act between the two men is still unclear. On Sunday around 2:20 p.m., a 44-year-old pulled out his knife at his home in Helpfau-Uttendorf and stabbed his sister’s husband in the neck.
Investigations are underway
When the police arrived, the suspected perpetrator was standing in front of the house and was arrested without resistance. He was taken to the Mattighofen police station. The National Criminal Investigation Department started an investigation early on Sunday evening, initially into attempted murder.
The victim – 43 years old, also a North Macedonian citizen – was flown to hospital in Salzburg by rescue helicopter.
