A total of 130 firefighters had to extinguish a fire in Patergassen (Carinthia) on Monday evening. A farm building was destroyed by flames.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., sirens sounded in Patergassen and the surrounding towns and municipalities. Due to an unknown cause, the farm building of a building caught fire.
The quick intervention of the fire brigades Patergassen, Ebene Reichenau, Gnesau, Zedlitzdorf and Bad Kleinkirchheim prevented a large flaming inferno. However, the farm building burned to the ground.
The 72-year-old homeowner was injured in the fire and had to be taken to hospital in Klagenfurt by the rescue team. The exact cause of the fire is now being determined.
