She had a blood alcohol level of 1.9 – an alcohol driver sped away from the police at 170 km/h

Date:

A woman driving a car in Eberstallzell near Wels (Upper Austria) was stopped by police for not wearing a seat belt and using her mobile phone. The woman stopped briefly and then fled the police patrol at speeds of up to 170 km/h. The wild ride ended in a corn field. The reason for the escape quickly became clear.

A police patrol from Sattledt became aware of a female driver in Eberstalzell around 6:20 PM on Tuesday. She was turning from the roundabout at the A1 motorway entrance towards Solarstrasse – was on the phone and was not wearing a seat belt.

Escape from the police
The driver, a 41-year-old from Vorchdorf, drove into a parking lot and the police officers parked their company car next to the driver. The 41-year-old made eye contact, but when the officers got out of the vehicle, she suddenly put the car in reverse and drove back towards the roundabout. The police gave chase, during which the driver drove at excessive speed.

Wild ride
The woman accelerated hard and sped away at a speed of 170 km/h. Even in a construction zone, the 41-year-old was traveling at about 90 to 100 mph. Particularly dangerous: a construction worker was working on this construction site at the time and several vehicles were waiting in the oncoming lane. The driver continued the journey to the Littring area, in the municipality of Eberstalzell, where she stopped in a harvested corn field.

The reason for the crazy ride: an alcohol test showed a blood alcohol level of 1.9 and the 41-year-old does not have a valid driver’s license.
