Fire alarm on Friday in the early morning hours in East Tyrol: a pile of waste caught fire on the site of a waste company in Nußdorf-Debant for reasons that are still unclear. More than fifty emergency services were on site.
The fire broke out around 7 a.m. In addition to the local fire brigade, the Lienz city fire brigade was also called in to provide support. “The waste mountain on the company premises caught fire for unknown reasons. “Major damage was prevented through operational fire protection measures,” the emergency services said.
The fire brigade was on site with a total of nine vehicles and 52 emergency services. The rescue service and the police also arrived.
