On Friday evening, Russia attacked the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv with missiles.
After the shelling, sixteen people, including an eleven-month-old baby, needed medical attention, Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko announced on Telegram. Cars and buildings were damaged.
It was later revealed that a ten-year-old child was killed in the attack. It was found lifeless from the rubble of a house.
“Russia fired rockets at residential buildings. The body of a child was found among the rubble. There are injured people. This is a brutal war,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s right-hand man, Andriy Yermak, wrote on social media.
Massive drone attacks again
The Ukrainian air force reported early Friday that the country’s air defenses had destroyed 25 of 33 Russian drones. Southern Ukraine, including the Odessa region, was again hit by the attacks. In the Danube region, a grain silo was damaged and several trucks caught fire. There were no injuries, it was said.
Russia, in turn, reported Ukrainian attacks. The naval base in Sevastopol on the occupied Crimean peninsula, among others, was attacked by Ukrainian naval drones early on Friday morning, state agency TASS reported.
Rocket hit company
On Thursday, an attack on the Kharkiv region caused widespread horror. At least 51 people were killed in an attack on a supermarket and a cafe, authorities said.
The rocket attack on an “ordinary supermarket” in a village near the city of Kupyansk was a “brutal Russian crime”, Zelensky said on online networks on Thursday. According to Zelenskyj, just over 300 people recently lived in Hrosa. In the worst Russian attack in the Kharkov region since the start of the war, a sixth of the village was wiped out.
