Sweating is the order of the day on Friday, temperatures quickly rise to 26 to 32 degrees. However, from midday, clouds begin to form over the mountains, according to the ZAMG forecast, thunderstorms may develop in the north and near the Alpine Ridge. In the other regions, however, it will probably remain dry.
Strong thunderstorms in the southeast
After that, thunderstorms and rain showers from the west will move into the country on Saturday. Most dry phases are likely to occur in the eastern lowlands. Strong thunderstorms threaten in the southeast from noon. On this day, between 21 and 30 degrees are reached.
It will be quieter on Sunday. The risk of thunderstorms is greatest on the south side of the Alps and in the south and west. On the other hand, harmless clouds are forming in the north and east. The temperature limit rises to 28 degrees.
The new week starts dry and the sun is also showing itself more and more on Monday. By evening, however, clouds will gather again in western Austria and thunderstorms and showers are possible again. In terms of temperatures, it remains summery: up to 29 degrees is expected.
Cooler than the last one
After a rainy night, Tuesday will initially remain restless, with continued heavy rain and thunderstorms. From the afternoon the rain slowly disappears and the sun comes out again. It remains a bit cooler than last time with temperatures between 19 and 26 degrees.
