Horrible traffic accident on Saturday afternoon in the Tyrolean Zillertal: a 22-year-old motorcyclist fell, hit the guardrail and was ultimately thrown 15 meters over the dike. The local man suffered serious injuries.
According to police, the fatal accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. The 22-year-old Tyrolean was on the B165 with his motorcycle Gerlossrasse in Hainzenberg when he suddenly fell for an unknown reason.
The vehicle became stuck on the guardrail
“The motorcycle slid against the guardrail and became stuck there,” police said. The motorcyclist himself was catapulted over the guardrail and fell 15 meters over the adjacent dike.
Seriously injured and taken to hospital
The 22-year-old suffered serious injuries. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, he was taken by ambulance to the Schwaz district hospital. There was extensive damage to the motorcycle.
