After the conflict between Israel and Palestine was reactivated on a large scale this weekend, CAF company management has asked its staff in Israel to “exercise caution” and “telework.”
Today, the Beasain-based train manufacturer has a workforce of 100 people in that country, working on two major projects, both in consortium with construction company Saphir, to develop the ‘Purple’ light rail line. and the green and red lines in Jerusalem.
CAF has reported that all employees are doing well and that their projects are still ongoing for the time being.
In 2022, commercial relations between the Spanish state and Israel reached record figures, both in terms of exports and imports. From this exchange, Spain obtained a positive balance of 1,117 million euros, with a coverage ratio (ratio between exports and imports) of 206.2%.
