Shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a call: “I stabbed my father.” The caller then hung up. Emergency services rush to the scene. But too late they find only two bodies. Neighbor Othmar Haller can’t believe it: “I had my blinds down and heard nothing,” he said in an interview with “Krone” on Wednesday morning. It was only a neighbor who informed him in the evening. She arrived home a little later and saw the large police presence. “I was so scared, it’s so terribly sad. We got along so well. They also loved animals so much, had lots of ducks, walked the dog every day and fed the birds.”
“We always had a lot of contact,” he says. In the letter he emphasizes that he loves his partner and that he is deeply ashamed that he was unable to protect her. “Forgive me please.”
