At least five people were injured in a collision between two metro trains in Moscow on Wednesday. An empty train hit a subway train that was already on the platform. According to the city transport office, the cause of the accident was driver error.

The accident took place at the Pechatniki metro station in the southeast of the Russian capital. Opened in 1995, the station is one of the smallest in the Moscow Metro.
The driver suffered minor injuries in the accident. Four passengers were slightly injured, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday. All five injured people were taken to hospital.
