There are currently 160 Austrians in Israel who want to leave the country
The number of Austrians willing to leave the country is constantly changing. The current number is about 160 people. “That is why an additional evacuation flight has been planned for Friday,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the “Krone”. Scheduled departure from Tel Aviv is at 12:00, arriving in Vienna around 2:45 PM. “We are also constantly investigating other options to leave the country by land,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes.

Affected Austrians who have not yet contacted the embassy should immediately contact the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv: tel-aviv-ob@bmeia.gv.at. “The team around Ambassador Nikolaus Lutterotti has worked tirelessly since the weekend to provide our compatriots with the best possible support,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

About 8,000 Austrians live in Israel; according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 200 were registered as travelers at the start of the major Hamas attack on Saturday.
