A couple’s motorcycle trip ended tragically on Friday evening in Upper Austria: a 63-year-old from Gusen came off the road in a left bend in Königswiesen and fell. His later life partner immediately came to his aid, but was unable to save her friend.
They probably wanted to take advantage of the nice weather for a motorcycle ride. The couple was driving on the B 124 from Haid towards Königswiesen when the 63-year-old left the road for an unknown reason in a left bend near Königswiesen.
Girlfriend had to witness an accident
The motorcyclist from Gusen fell and came to rest in an adjacent meadow. His partner (60), who was riding behind him, witnessed the fall and immediately went to her seriously injured partner and provided him with first aid. A passing motorist assisted the woman in resuscitation, as did a police patrol.
Even the emergency doctor could not save the motorcyclist
But the emergency medical team could not save the man either. He died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries.
