Shots in Kufstein – teenagers hit victims and fired pistols

There were probably wild scenes in a park in Kufstein (Tyrol) on Saturday evening. Two suspected perpetrators (16 and 15 years old) threatened two victims and demanded a pack of cigarettes from them. When they refused, the suspects delivered two punches and fired a blank pistol. The teenagers were arrested.

Victim injured, situation escalated
The 22-year-old suffered a broken nose and his 18-year-old colleague was slightly injured. The two victims were part of a group of six. When the members rushed to help their friends, the situation escalated completely.

The two youths pulled out an empty gun and pointed it at the group. Moments later, several shots were fired. The group then fled.

Further investigations are underway
The two suspects were identified a short time later by a police patrol in Kufstein and temporarily arrested. They were handed over to their legal guardians. “The blank weapon has not yet been recovered. Further investigations to clarify the circumstances of the crime are still ongoing,” police said. The 22-year-old victim was admitted to the Kufstein district hospital.
