There were some roadblocks in Vienna on Saturday afternoon as several recorded demos were taking place at the same time. In addition to the pro-Palestinian demonstration, several people also took to the streets for the child protection demonstration.
According to the ÖAMTC, this has led to significant delays in road traffic. Lines of cars formed on the inner belt of the A23 (southeast tangent) to Prinz-Eugen-Straße and on the outer belt from Eichenstraße to Prinz-Eugen-Straße. Other traffic jam points were Rechten Wienzeile, Schüttelstraße, Untere Donaustraße, Roßauer Lände and the Ringstraße.
Switch to public transport
The rallies and thus the traffic disruptions will probably last until the evening. The ÖAMTC still recommends switching to public transport when traveling to the city center.
