Spectacular animal rescue in Leoben: A horse had fallen into a cesspool. Thanks to the courageous efforts of the fire brigade and the free support of an earth-moving company, the four-legged friend was saved.
The horse had fallen into a cesspool on a farm and could not get out. The owners called the fire brigade, the emergency services responded immediately and called in a horse ambulance to assist.
According to the Leoben fire brigade, the operation was initially extremely difficult because the cranes could not be brought to the cesspool.
Since an excavator was parked close to the farm, the Bloder Erdbau company was asked for support, which immediately made itself available to rescue animals for free!
The excavator first had to remove a lot of manure so that it could get close enough to the cesspool.
Emergency services and the horse ambulance courageously entered the cesspool and placed the large animal rescue package on the horse. This allowed the horse to be lifted out of the pit unharmed using the excavator and handed over to its owners.
The following were deployed: FF Leoben-Stadt, FF Leoben-Göss, FF Trofaiach, horse doctor Berschl and the Bloder Erdbau company
