A 33-year-old Egyptian man attacked three people with punches in Milan on Saturday afternoon, carrying the Quran and wearing Islamic garb. Among those attacked was a 44-year-old from Ecuador who escaped with minor injuries, police said.
The Egyptian was arrested and reported to the police for assault. He was tested for drugs and alcohol. Researchers described him as a person “characterized by strong hostility toward Western civilization.”
Strange incident
According to investigators, the attack is not related to a pro-Palestinian demonstration in which more than 4,000 people took part in Milan on Saturday afternoon. The rally was organized by various associations.
The demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and banners that read: “The real terrorists are Europe, Israel, the UN and the US. Liberate Palestine!” At the front of the procession hung a banner reading “Stop the Genocide in Gaza. Let’s save Gaza.”
BBC building defaced
There was also a large pro-Palestinian demonstration in London on Saturday. More than a thousand police officers were present. The starting point of the demonstration was the BBC headquarters, which was defaced with red paint overnight. The pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action claimed responsibility for the attack. The blood-red color symbolizes that the BBC, with its biased reporting, is partly responsible for the ‘genocide’ of the Palestinian people by Israel, according to a report on the short news service X.
Of course, the BBC was recently criticized for being accused of downplaying Hamas terror. The public broadcaster refused to label the atrocities committed by Islamist extremists, which left more than a thousand dead in Israel, as ‘terror’.
