They give 41.1% of the vote to the ultra-conservative Law and Justice, a much larger advantage than that reflected in the exit polls. The final results will not be known until tonight or Tuesday morning.
The first official data from the elections in Polandwith just over 15% counted, give the 41.1% of the votes to the ultraconservative Law and Justice, a much larger lead than was evident from last Sunday’s exit polls.
In second place, the Civic Platform of liberal opposition Donald Tusk has collected 25.4% of the vote, while the central Third Way coalition currently has 13.8% of support.
The ultranationalists of the Left and the Confederation are currently allocated 8 and 7.5% respectively.
These results differ significantly from the exit poll published at the end of election day that unleashed euphoria among the opposition over the possibility of forming a multi-party alliance to oust Law and Justice, which has ruled since 2015, from power.
The final results will not be known see you tonight or Tuesday tomorrow morning, and it must be taken into account that counting the ballots of hundreds of thousands of foreign Poles will take longer.
