A two-year-old calf in the Teilwiesen area in the Tyrolean district of Imst probably had several guardian angels. The animal was shot in the neck by an unknown perpetrator. Miraculously, it survived the crime. The executive branch is investigating animal cruelty.
The crime took place between September 21 and 24, the police announced on Monday. When “Krone” asked about it, a spokesperson said that “the calf’s owner had previously noticed the injury but could not classify it.” Due to reports of other forms of animal abuse in the region, the man became alert and filed a complaint.
The calf is doing well again
Apparently the young animal had several guardian angels. “It was a gunshot wound to the neck. The wound is now almost healed.” It is still unclear with which weapon the calf was shot. Further investigations will follow.
