He Gross national product (GDP) of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) increased by 1.6% in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to Eustat’s Advance Quarterly Accounts estimates. Compared to the second quarter of 2023, GDP grew by 0.2% and employment by 0.4%, respectively. It is about ninth consecutive quarter with quarterly employment growth.
Eustat points to “an uneven activity behavior in the main sectors of the BAC economy”, although the evolution remains “positive” overall.
