Two Poles now had to answer for theft at the St. Pölten Regional Court. The criminal gang is said to have committed fifteen thefts of expensive vehicles in the districts of Tulln, St. Pölten, Korneuburg, Baden and Mödling. The two men were sentenced to partial prison terms.

Next act in the seemingly endless crime thriller about a Polish car mafia at the St. Pölten Regional Court. The ten-member gang is said to have stolen fifteen expensive vehicles worth a total of 1.2 million euros between July and October 2021 in Tulln, Bisamberg and Sierndorf, among others.

A 30-year-old ‘guardian’ of the criminal organization was sentenced to 18 months’ partial prison term in June last year. Now two Poles, aged 27 and 39, were on trial again for theft. The defendants are said to have acted as drivers during coups three times. The youngest drove across the border in the stolen cars, the eldest drove the getaway car for the perpetrators.

Suspect pleaded guilty
DNA traces, the analysis of mobile phones and a ballpoint pen from a theft victim (which was in the car) led investigators from the State Criminal Investigation Department to track down the suspects. Some of them confessed.

As ‘accessory perpetrators’, the two men were now given partial prison sentences of 24 and 15 months – legally binding.
