A particularly disgusting case of animal abuse occurred last week in the community of Reuthe in the Bregenzerwald: an unknown person shot a cat in broad daylight.
According to the current state of the investigation, the four-legged friend was shot by an unknown person last Wednesday (October 11) between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The injured cat was just able to drag itself home to its owners, who immediately took the animal to the vet.
Front leg amputated
Due to the severity of the gunshot wound, the right front leg had to be completely amputated. From the found projectile parts it can be concluded that the animal abuser used a small caliber firearm.
