Dramatic scenes in the morning hours in Villach: a seven-year-old boy was hit by a car while crossing a zebra crossing. The driver of the accident stepped on the accelerator and caused a collision.
As his parents and teachers repeatedly taught him, the boy made excellent use of the zebra crossing to cross Udinestrasse in the center of Villach on his way to school around 7:30 am. However, an approaching driver was not so careful and alert to the traffic.
The driver of the car may have overlooked the student for an unknown reason and hit the child with full force. But instead of providing first aid to the injured boy who was thrown to the ground, the accident driver stepped on the accelerator and ran away.
Witnesses led to the driver of the crash
However, thanks to observant eyewitnesses, the alert police were able to quickly locate the car they were looking for and its owner. The 78-year-old suspect was found at his home address. Meanwhile, the injured student was taken to hospital. Fortunately, according to official information, there is no danger to life.
