When emergency services arrived on the scene around 3 a.m., the victim was still alive. An elderly man was taken to hospital in Ried with serious stab wounds, where he died shortly afterwards.

A major Cobra operation took place on Friday evening. The victim’s son would be an urgent suspect; he has already been arrested. Interviews and forensic investigations were conducted in the early morning hours. The National Criminal Investigation Department has taken over the investigation.
