For still unexplained reasons, a 38-year-old man in Vienna-Döbling grabbed a brush on Thursday and started smearing the facade of a house with black paint. His brush and paint were taken away – the man had to go to prison.
It was around 2:20 p.m. when officers from the Vienna Police were called to the house in Döbling. Once there, the emergency services could see how the Iraqi was still painting the wall. However, emergency services were unable to tease out why the 38-year-old did this: he refused to make a statement during questioning.
His brushes and paints were taken and secured. “The man then had to be taken to a penitentiary,” the Vienna State Police Directorate said on Friday.
