He currently holds the most difficult ambassadorial position in Austria: Krone+ spoke to our ambassador Nikolaus Lutterotti in Tel Aviv about the sadness and anger in the country and his very personal daily work between rocket alarms and new horror reports.
“Kron”: Mr. Ambassador Lutterotti, what is the current situation in Israel? What is the mood among the population?
Nicholas Lutterotti: The situation is tense. You can feel the pervasive sadness that has descended on the land. Everyone here knows, at least indirectly, a victim of the massacre. People are trying to return to a certain routine, car traffic has increased again recently, but all this is still difficult.
