Knife attacks and co. – Brutal arguments: how safe is it in Krems?

Date:

After the recent events in Krems, the FPÖ is once again calling for video surveillance of hotspots. According to city councilor Christoph Hofbauer, a safety concept must be put on the table as soon as possible. However, a survey by “Krone” shows that citizens generally feel in good hands in their place of residence.

A 30-year-old was dragged from a bar in Krems’ old town at 3 a.m. last weekend and beaten and seriously injured by several people. The perpetrators are still on the run. On Monday evening, a native Albanian (33) and a Chechen (26) got into an argument at the World Heritage Site. The 33-year-old then pulled a knife, stabbed the opponent several times and injured him in the shoulder and upper arm. He was generally reported.
