A holidaymaker (58) from Germany is said to have entered a hotel in Vienna-Josefstadt on Sunday evening, heavily drunk. However, the woman probably didn’t like that the hotel employee refused her to stay – she attacked the 26-year-old with punches and kicks.
The incident happened around 2am. Because the woman from Germany was drunk and behaving aggressively, the 26-year-old hotel employee exercised his right of residence and refused to let her stay at the accommodation.
Colleague has alerted the emergency services
However, the 58-year-old must have been upset by this and then attacked the employee with several punches and kicks. Another employee immediately picked up the phone and called emergency number.
The officer suffered facial injuries
In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, the Germans also attacked the officers. “One of the officers was injured by a kick to the knee and a blow to the face,” Vienna police said in a statement on Sunday.
The German was temporarily arrested on the spot for serious bodily harm and resistance to state authority. The 58-year-old is currently still being held by the police.
