On Wednesday, a 24-year-old Upper Austrian woman took her wallet from an 80-year-old passerby at Salzburg’s main station in broad daylight. He fled, but the Lower Austrian woman’s cries for help alerted witnesses to the robbery.
He immediately ran after the robber and picked him up
A young man immediately ran after the perpetrator. He was able to stop him and held him. Other witnesses came to his aid until police officers arrested the robber. The brave helper quickly left the scene. No personal information about him has been recorded.
The Salzburg police are now asking the young man to come forward to assess his behavior. This can be done by calling 059133 50 1133 or directly at a police station in Salzburg.
