It has attacked “dozens of terrorist targets” as part of “preparation” for the ground invasion.
The Israeli army carried out a new tank incursion into the Gaza Strip on Friday morning, in an operation that also included the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and military helicopters, attacking “dozens of Hamas targets.”
“During the last day infantry and armored troops, escorted by drones and helicopters forces have attacked the center of the Gaza Strip,” reads a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), published on its profile on the social network Twitter.
For example, they indicated that, in the context of the operation, they ‘attacked dozens of terrorist targetsincluding anti-tank missile launch positions and operational headquarters,” as well as members of the Palestinian militia.
“The forces left the area at the end of the mission and there were no casualties among our forces,” said the IDF, which is carrying out raids “as part of preparation” for the invasion of the enclave.
The day before, the armed forces announced a “selective raid”, which was described by military radio as “unusual and extensive” as it had the “greatest size and depth” in recent days.
Since October 7, Israel has continuously bombed the Gaza Strip, killing more than 7,000 Palestinians, including nearly 3,000 children. In addition, more than a hundred people were killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the West Bank.
