Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has a new job again. On Friday, the 59-year-old announced that he wanted to work for the private, conservative television channel GB News, which was founded in 2020.
“I will share my unvarnished views on everything on this remarkable new TV channel – Russia, China, the war in Ukraine,” he said in a video message.
In the clip (see tweet below), the ex-politician also says he wants to talk about how we can meet these challenges and why he believes “our best days are still ahead of us” and why the people of the world “want more global Britain” wanted to see.
Resigned after several scandals
Johnson resigned as prime minister in the summer of 2022 after several scandals under pressure from his party. A few months ago he also gave up his mandate in parliament. When he announced a little later that he would become a columnist for the Daily Mail newspaper, he was criticized by a supervisor.
Important role in election reporting
According to the company’s website, he will act as a presenter, program maker and commentator for television channel GB News. Johnson can therefore be seen from the new year. He will play an important role in reporting on the upcoming elections in Great Britain and the United States.
