After the devastating violent crime that left a 54-year-old local man dead in Fieberbrunn (Kitzbühel district), the suspect (45) was questioned about the crime in the afternoon. An autopsy result is also available. Further investigations are underway.
“The 45-year-old could be interviewed,” lead investigator Gert Hofmann reported on Tuesday afternoon at the request of the “Krone”. The local man is suspected of killing his 54-year-old friend with multiple stab wounds to the neck on Monday evening. An interview was only possible at the beginning of the afternoon because he could not be interviewed “due to a disability, probably caused by alcohol and/or addictive substances.”
The suspect did not provide any information
However, there are no new details, such as the motive or how the crime took place, Hofmann explains: “We tried to question him, but he did not want to give any information about the case in the presence of his lawyer.”
Autopsy confirms murder
Autopsy results are also available. This confirms the original suspicion that the 54-year-old “died violently” as a result of the stab wounds in the neck, Hofmann said.
As it became known on Tuesday, a 54-year-old local man was fatally injured by a stab wound to the neck in an apartment in Fieberbrunn. The alleged suspect’s parents found the body. As Hofmann confirmed to the Crown, both men were known to the police through previous actions. Further investigation is being conducted, especially in the area around the two men. According to information from “Krone”, the 45-year-old has been active in the red light and drug scene for several years.
