A 28-year-old worker was seriously injured in a serious industrial accident in Kühtai (Imst district) in Tyrol on Thursday morning. A pallet truck fell on her leg and trapped her. Only after several failed attempts was it possible to free the woman.
The 28-year-old local woman was loading and unloading a truck with an electric pallet truck in front of a hotel around 6:45 am. There were problems with the truck’s lifting platform: it suddenly tipped over, causing the 790-kilogram truck with a high lift height to move and trap the worker’s right leg.
Freed with the help of an iron bar
Two first aiders came to the aid of the injured person and initially tried in vain to free the woman. But it wasn’t until they used an iron bar to lift the pallet truck that they were able to pull the woman out from under it. The NAH Christophorus 1 emergency medical helicopter brought the Austrian woman to the clinic with serious injuries.
